Mayank Agarwal has been named as the captain of the Rest of India team for the upcoming Irani Cup match against the 2022 Ranji Trophy champion Madhya Pradesh. The match is scheduled to take place from March 5-9 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
Agarwal, who is currently the captain of the Karnataka Ranji team, has been in excellent form in the domestic circuit. He has scored over 1000 runs in the last two Ranji Trophy seasons and has been a consistent performer for Karnataka. He has also been a part of the Indian team in the recent past and has been a regular in the Test squad.
The Rest of India team will be led by Agarwal and will feature some of the best players from the domestic circuit.
