India’s Cheteshwar Pujara was left disappointed after his team’s total of 286 in the first innings of the Indore Test against Australia was not enough to put them in a strong position.
The Indian batsman scored a gritty half-century, but his efforts were not enough to help India reach a competitive total. Pujara said that the team was hoping to get a total of around 350, which would have given them a good chance of winning the match.
“We were hoping to get a total of around 350, but unfortunately we couldn’t do that. We were a bit disappointed with the total we got,” Pujara said.
